6.1 Close Staff
As team members complete their parts of the project, their work shuts down. Transition members and sub-teams into increasingly smaller resources as the final work products trickle into to the completed project; release those members who are no longer necessary for the final steps.
- Summarize remaining parts
- Create member/team release protocol
- Obtain all vital documents and information
- Conduct completion review
- Release members and resources
6.2 Close Contracts
Terminate the supplier contracts
- Reconcile expected with completed agreement
- Ensure the return of all Project assets and disengage sub-contractor
- Ensure the return of assets from sub-contractor staff
- Terminate the sub-contractor agreement
- Review agreement deliverables and assess the sub-contractor
6.3 Close Project
End the project properly and in an orderly fashion
- Determine that the Project expectations are fulfilled
- Identify and reassign recyclable items
- Disengage the technical systems
- Survey the customer for input
- Identify areas for improvement
- Terminate the customer agreement
