Perform closing activities and complete project



6.1 Close Staff


As team members complete their parts of the project, their work shuts down. Transition members and sub-teams into increasingly smaller resources as the final work products trickle into to the completed project; release those members who are no longer necessary for the final steps.
  • Summarize remaining parts 
  • Create member/team release protocol 
  • Obtain all vital documents and information 
  • Conduct completion review 
  • Release members and resources 

6.2 Close Contracts


Terminate the supplier contracts
  • Reconcile expected with completed agreement
  • Ensure the return of all Project assets and disengage sub-contractor
  • Ensure the return of assets from sub-contractor staff
  • Terminate the sub-contractor agreement
  • Review agreement deliverables and assess the sub-contractor

6.3 Close Project


End the project properly and in an orderly fashion
  • Determine that the Project expectations are fulfilled
  • Identify and reassign recyclable items
  • Disengage the technical systems
  • Survey the customer for input
  • Identify areas for improvement
  • Terminate the customer agreement
